We are pleased to announce our new 3T PET/MRI small animal camera. The planed installation is going to start at the beginning of November 2018.
PET-CT Medical Diagnostic Ltd., the predecessor of ScanoMed Ltd. was founded in 2005 as an enterprise of 100% Hungarian ownership. Since January 2007 ScanoMed Ltd. is a subsidiary company of MEDISO Ltd. which is developer and manufacturer of high-end hybrid imaging systems in Nuclear Medicine and is present in world-leading research institutes of health and life sciences.
Two years later the PET center in Debrecen has been upgraded and relocated inside the clinics of the University of Debrecen to make patient examinations more comfortable and efficient. As a member of the MEDISO Group our company provides state-of-the-art PET/CT examinations in Budapest and Debrecen and also isotope diagnostics and therapy in Debrecen which is the largest nuclear medicine center in Central-Eastern Europe. In 2015 ScanoMed Ltd. stepped in the field of preclinical research and service with the handover of the Translational Research Center. It consists of a Radiochemistry- and a Preclinical Departure allowing to take part in drug development from the molecular synthesis and labeling to the animal and clinical examinations. From launch the Translation Research Center has been participating in many academic and industrial collaborations. ScanoMed Ltd. is an innovative medical and preclinical imaging company using the most recent technologies including conventional isotope diagnostic methods and hybrid technologies such as PET/CT and SPECT/CT.

Nowadays hybrid imaging technologies play an important role in both translational research and clinical diagnostics by combining the modern equipment of radiology and nuclear medicine. Among routine diagnostic imaging procedures positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) combined with computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) currently belong to the most advanced techniques in the world.
